Our origins can be traced back to at least the 1800s, when our first premises (a converted nunnery in Long Wynd) acted as a hub for equine vets who took their rounds by horse drawn cart.
By 1965 we had expanded our offering to include services for pets and farm animals – not everyone had access to a telephone in those days though, meaning we often had to communicate with local farmers via postcard!
We’ve come a long way since then, but remain committed to providing a first class, affordable service for our patients and clients.
Our small animal, farm and equine teams have a wealth of experience between them, and our branches offer a huge range of routine and more complex in-house services.
Our farm and equine teams also offer 24/7 mobile emergency support, while you can access a 24-hour emergency service for pets at our Dundee branch.
We continually invest in our facilities to ensure we’re bringing you the very best; we poened our purpose-built Barnhill surgery in 2014, while 2019 saw us expand our Dundee branch and open our Arbroath surgery.
Joining the VetPartners group has also helped us go from strength to strength, with the backing of their supportive network of respected veterinary practices and central team.
