Hedgehogs need specialised t.l.c. if they are injured, ill or too small to hibernate and we use the services of Sandy Boyd at his hedgehog centre in Wormit Fife. Sandy treats, fixes and rehomes many every year. If you need his help or  advice - he will collect an injured animal - use the phone number below. If you see very small ones in late Autumn, they will not survive the Winter. Sandy takes these into his care and feeds and cares for them until they are big enough to be released. If you see one easily caught during the day, there is something wrong.

This little one is 10 days old and is one of three born 5 days after mum was handed in after being found injured by the side of the road. She was lucky and all are thriving and were released when big enough.
Sandy runs his sanctuary on a voluntary basis and his cat-food bill every week is enormous, so look out for his collection pots in each of our three surgeries, where you can help him keep up his good work. If you see a hedgehog which may need attention, phone Sandy at 01382 541311
