MY NAME IS LOLA
I am a Jack Russell terrier. I am quite small, black and white, with short legs, but I can still run quite fast.

This is Richard, my "two-legs". He is a Vet at Parkside and he thinks I am his pet, but he does not know that really he is my pet - Two-legs gives me nice food, a very comfortable bed and he drives me around the countryside for fun. He keeps stopping at stables and farms to see horses and cattle and he spends time talking to other two-legs. Now and again we call back to the big surgery at Kings Cross Road and I get to play with my friends.
When I was a little pup I used to stay in one of the kennels there.

That's when I met my friend, Indi

He was in a kennel next door and his two-legs is another vet called Graham. Indi was young, like me but he has long thin legs. His mum is a Whippet and his dad is Bedlington terrier. He still had a Geordie accent when I met him first, because he came from Newcastle and he runs very fast! We ask to go out to the back of the surgery and have some fun. I think the two-legs enjoy watching us!

Last Winter there was lots to sniff and it was very cold. There was white stuff called frost on the grass.

Sometimes I just like to cuddle up in my bed in my car, while my two-legs gets ready to take me for another trip in the car. I like the car. Sometimes I chew things and my two-legs gets cross with me but I don't know why. Maybe he wants more kisses!

It sometimes gets boring so now I have to hurry him up - after all I might meet a few more friends!

This is Indi with her friend from home, Rosie. She is a bigger dog called a labrador. Indi has great fun playing with Rosie and chewing her neck for fun, then she does the same back to him. Indi says "It tickles!"

They get on really well and I often meet them for a chat and a play at the surgery. We all run around and the two-legs watch us and smile.

Indi's other friend at his home is a cat called Ambush. She is a chocolate Burmese breed and Indi says they never speak, but I'm not so sure! I've been told that she always has first choice when it comes to hot spots and cuddles from pets.

Before I show you round I want you meet some other friends. I asked Richard to take me to the Broughty Ferry surgery one day to meet the dogs down there. We met Bigfriend and Jake. Bigfriend is huge and is a Scottish Deerhound and Jake is the same is Indi, only older. There friend here is only a toy but looks just like them!

Bigfriend really is BIG

and her nose is as big as my head!

Their friend is Bailley. He is a whippet. Whippets are very fast at running but Bailley felt a little cold - after all, he said, I have a very short thin coat - so he asked his two-legs, Susan, if he could wear his coat and just like that, she popped it on. What a life he has. He was till a bit cold when the picture was taken.

He and Jake felt a bit peckish so they put on the "I'm starving" look and were immediately rewarded by Susan. It's so easy to tease our pets.

Jake is especially skilled at "the look" with his two-legs, Wendy, who takes him along to Broughty Ferry and while he is there, she does something on a phone and talks to people who come in. Many of them have pets too, but I can't play with them. They talk to the Vet and usually tell her about something being sore.

Another friend at Dundee is Dizzy, who is a Staffie. Here we are in a kennel - very embarassing being behind bars, but we do have treats and a lovely bed to relax. After all we do need a snooze now and again.

Before I tell you about when I was not feeling well, I must introduce you to Granny Daisy - Her pet is called Maureen. Daisy is very good to her as she pulls Maureen up the hill on her way to work. Daisy has her own kennel at the Dundee surgery but we often get to share and it's nice to cuddle into her. She is a very big dog, a mastiff, but she is very relaxed and friendly.

It was her 10th birthday recently and she even asked for a cake and her pet could not say no!
