Equine Practice |
Parkside Equine is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), which is our governing body as a Teir 2 practice. A recent RCVS inspection has comfirmed our status yet again. The Practice Standards Scheme has been devised in order to indicate a quality standard of Veterinary Premises so that you can make a choice based on vigorous independant inspections. (See details at the RCVS web site and how the standards are met). Good re-assurance for the public.
Not all Vets need to be members - especially in the Equine field, so you should check to ensure the highest standards are being met - it is your decision. Only qualifying practices can display the logo.
Dundee surgery is a Tier 2 practice, Barnhill is Tier 2 and Parkside Equine also qualifies as Tier 2 in the Practice Standards Scheme. High standards all round! The smaller Broughty Ferry surgery, with more limited facilities, is Tier 1, but still has the highly trained Vets and support staff.
As a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice (TP) we need to keep our standards at the highest level - for your pets, horses and for our trainee nurses and visting Vet students. We accept placements from trainee nurses who are placed at Universities and other training establishments and we accept Veterinary Student placements, who need to see practice during their vacations. This observation in a practice situation is how they learn practical work during their training years. When you attend our surgeries as well as with out-of-hours emergencies, you are always seen by a fully qualified PARKSIDE Vet, while Equine work is only done by our Equine Team.
